I'm surprized, thanks!
While I tend to agree with you because I lived off buck burgers at Paddys, Peoples, and Diamond Daves (Remember that place?), I bet college kids will have no problem keeping Texas Roadhouse in business even when it won't be as close to campus as a bar and grill could be.
People can say, it won't work, look at Legends. That place didn't work because of the customer service, urine smelling elevator, management, etc. I think a 5 guys-ish place in campustown that would serve beer could do great business. It could look similar to Brothers in the ped mall in IA City.

Campus town has no food that is worth even drunkenly stumbling to imo.
I was driving through campustown and saw that Campus Bookstore (across the street from the Memorial Union) is going out of business. They have big 50% off signs so it might be a good time to stock up. Anyone know what happened? They seemed to have lots of customers.
As a design student I used and needed both book stores on almost weekly basis for supplies. The MU bookstore had a larger selection but Campus book store had some things they didn't have and better prices on some things.
Would have really sucked for me when I was a student if it had closed. For art and design supplies there's always an advantage for real retail vs. online because often you need to see and feel it in person and often you need it the same day. Even with both book stores I'd end up going to Des Moines once in a while for something.

Maybe a second location for ZombieBurger?
That place would do very, very well in ames.
It will most likely become a bar I would think.
Part of why ZB would do well, its half bar with its 'drink lab'.
ZB in Ames??? If that happens, I became a college student 11 years too soon.
