Yeh I would love to see Buerhle play for the cardinals when he is washed up, 38 years old, and barely hitting 85 on the gun.

His average fastball today was 86.

He damn well could last as long as Moyer if he wants to.

Yeh but he also hit 91 in the ninth.

I'm guessing it was the adrenaline. He's normally 84-88.

Working with recently-acquired catcher Ramon Castro for the first time, Buehrle got some pre-game advice from A.J. Pierzynksi, his usual backstop. "He was like go out and throw a no-hitter. I was like for what, I've already got one of those. He was like, well then go throw a perfect game."

And Eric Cooper was the home plate ump for both Buehrle's no hitters.

Of course Hawk had to go and have a joygasm on the air afterwards (yes yes Yes Yes YES YES)...

Congrats to Buehrle - I may hate the White Sox, but that outing was incredible.

I've said it before.....he's by far the guy that will hurt the most when/if he's done in Chicago.

And he sets the record, 42 consecutive hitters retired with the second out in the fourth.
