Man, I hope the number will change before season starts. #35 just doesn't fit.
35 sounds slower and less agile than 28.

He wants 1 but apparently can't get it.Rookie camp numbers are out. Breece wearing #35. I noticed that Jets have retired #28 for Curtis Martin. I wonder if Breece sticks with 35
The silver lining is there is no 5th year option in his contract, so he can hit the market a year earlier. Could be huge for him if he becomes one of the top backs in the league in his first 4 years. I'm sure he would still want that first round if he could have got it, but at least some consolation there. What is interesting and painful for Breece is if he would have gone say to the Bills at #25 like many projected you think oh that's only 11 spots difference. Well that cost him over 4 million dollars. Yikes.
I'm sure he will be able to get by with "only" 9 mill though.![]()
Guessing if anybody gets #1 it will be Sauce Gardner. Give Sauce #1 and then give Breece #20. That is better than 35.He wants 1 but apparently can't get it.

Actually I believe current players get first dibs which means that DJ Reed gets #1.I think they usually let the higher pick get the first choice of what number they want so advantage goes to Sauce unfortunately for Breece.
Think some of it is they want to buy a jersey but they don't want to wear what they consider a "bad" number. I agree in the sense that certain numbers look/fit good for a position/player and others don't.Reading the twitter comments on that post with the number, I never realized there were so many people who were so outspoken on what number a player chooses.
I dont love the number, I'd go with #2 to remind other teams what round you were drafted...come to think of it, there were 35 players drafted before him. It's all making sense now.
I like the number NOW too, that its his chip on his chest/back. Watch out league.See, now I actually like that number. Would be pretty sweet if he had a great game vs Buffalo. . .
I admit to being kinda rusty with how NFL endorsement deals go nowadays. What is interesting and painful for Breece is if he would have gone say to the Bills at #25 like many projected you think oh that's only 11 spots difference. Well that cost him over 4 million dollars. Yikes.
