Everyone always seems to forget about cooke.

If monte leaves

Jackson
Cooke
Burton
Malou
Not sure on the 5th starter

I'm gonna wait and see on Cooke before I would pencil him in anywhere. He's still coming back from major surgery.

Malou and Burton look excellent and Carter and Young look interesting to say the least. And remember, we put four players on the three point line which Prohm called "three guards and a big guard". Our version of a power forward (Niang) is more like a small forward.
Either Burton or Malou are capable of playing wing and what a matchup headache both will cause. 47% from 3 is impressive for a guy 6'9" that can take it inside. Who in their right mind would step in front of Burton to take a charge. Doubt anyone's gonna flop against him..

We're going to be more than OK after this next season. Prohm, TJ, and all are putting together a monster.

Whoa, don't go Hawkeye-esque on us....... just kidding. Very happy for the Malou commit, but we will need more to be your so-called 'monster'! Ernst, Young, Carter, and even Malou -all unproven front court, (and this is not coming from me) not to mention Jackson is not close to being a Monte. Izzo signed his what....3rd or 4th 'top 50' kid today? So many good teams with elite players out there. But, hey, I'm cool with you being excited. Just saying we need some big pieces yet. The cornerstones of our program like Niang/Naz have been. Although something tells me there will never again be two guys in the same class that have embraced being a Cyclone and CycloneNation more than these two have.

I owe you an apology. I assumed (apparently incorrectly) that you were a KU fan from the post I responded to previously. Sorry about that! :)

No problem..had me a little confused. I'm one of the biggest Iowa State fans you'll meet. Respect KU and they are good to have in the conference, but that's about it. So glad Malou snubbed Self!

Obviously it doesn't need to be said, but damn I'm really going to miss Georges and Naz. Can't believe it's been 4 years already. Those 2 are WINNERS. I hope prohm can continue to get kids with the same level of unselfishness and demeanor that those two have had for us. They have changed the culture here as much if not more than fred and that is saying a lot.

So he looks like a taller more skilled version of Will Clyburn with an elite outside shot. Is that even legal?

We don't really need a true 5. I think someone like Simeon Carter can play it at 6'8" or even Young at 6'7" and 230 lbs. Nobody really has a true center anymore anyway.

Just not sold on Malou. Saw him play for ABCD Prep two years ago. Seemed to lack aggressiveness and toughness.

I think you're joining the crowd on that. Is he soft? Can he rebound? Can he defend? Problem is you can ask the same questions of recruits far less talented.

Actually, I don't think it did. It was there at 27 this morning, with only 2 commits, and went down for some reason after the Michigan State news. I'm not sure who moved above ISU.

I don't think the Malou signing has really had any effect on the ranking yet, because if you look at ISU's list.... 247 does not give him any rating yet at all......so it couldn't have had an effect....at least not a positive one.

Malou was ranked a 2 star way early so I think that was the reason. I was told he will be ranked again when the JUCO season starts and is projected a 4 star at least.
