Wouldn't go that far. Next 2 then maybe. Iowa and Kansas are the teams ISU needs to catch for it being a debate. While ISU has wins over both the total body of work is important too.

ISU's resume would be better than KU's at that point, probably is right now.

Even at my homerish best, I hadn't considered a 1 seed. That would be out of this world.
Several weeks ago, anybody who suggested that ISU could be a 1 seed would be laughed out of the room. The way this year is going, nobody is a front runner for a #1 seed. Maybe Iowa but if history proves true, the Hawks will flame out in the coming weeks.

Wouldn't it be better than Iowa's also? We have way more quality wins and a head to head win.

We're missing the big road wins that Iowa has right now, roads win count for twice as much as home wins in RPI.

Iowa has a very good record. Don't let the hate blind you, they are 7-3 vs the top 50, we are 6-3, and they don't have any home losses or bad losses like the UNI game. They have played the good teams in their conf and not the anchors for the most part. Tremendous record and job by them so far.

I don't think anyone is hating on Iowa, there's no denying they are a really good team. By far the best in the Big 10 and it isn't close imo. I think that is what everyone is hating on, their conference. The Big 10 is way down outside of Iowa and Maryland... and the jury is still out on the terps.

This site is interesting because when you look at the column that has us as a 1 seed its the column labeled KPI which is defined as ranking teams by assigning a value to each game played. Makes me think Iowa State has the one of the most impressive slates of wins in all of college basketball so far.

Fine to hate on Big Ten this year but with unbalanced schedules in big conferences you can't use a wide brush. Ripping on Indianas conference schedule strength is not the same as ripping on Iowas.

On a serious note, it's fun to look and follow these websites and notice how much ground we've made up in the past 4 games. I mean, we were a projected 5/6 seed after the Texas loss and now most brackets have us a 2 or 3 with the ceiling to go even higher with these next two games.

It just goes to show you that YOU CAN'T FREAK OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF JANUARY.
