So does that last question and answer mean that we have now gotten paid for last year's Houston Bowl?

Also, I really would like to be taken 6th or better because I really don't want to go back to Shreveport or Houston. I actually enjoyed Shreveport better than Houston. I went to both bowl games and it was great seeing ISU fans all over the city (especially the first game...and drinking the Blind Tiger out of beer). Houston was so big that I hardly ran into other ISU fans except at the game obviously.

I loved the Insight in 2000 and would go back in an instant. El Paso doesn't seem like a great hotstop but it would be nice to go to a different bowl game. Anything above those games...I would be thrilled!

IMO, we aught to be setting our sights no lower than the Alamo...with hopes (and good possibility) for the Holiday.

January Bowl Games

The only way for ISU to play in a "January Bowl Game" is to make the BSC, so let's do it.

Make that the Petra Sun Independence Bowl!!!!

Begs the question:

"Mom, what's a Petra Sun?"

"Oh, honey, it is a local oil company near New Orleans. Thjey needed the good publicity because they now they have the money to spend on advertising with these very high gas prices. They really enjoy their football down there."

Better than Shreveport.
