If we're talking about "just getting there", I'd rather have the Dance.

If we're talking about getting there in style (a great regular season meaning a good tourney seed or a better bowl game than we've been to), I'd probably say the bowl.

I would love to be able to go to another bowl game, but I think MM would be better at this time.

MM and its not even close. MM is the most exciting tournament of the year and would give the school much more pub than going to the Houston.com/org Bowl.

WTF, this thread just randomly popped up on the front page of threads. I didn't mean to bump a 3 month old thread.

A bowl game THIS season. The excitement and money it would generate for 2010 would be incredible.

MM by a long shot. I would love to have the type of BB season where Hilton will give you goosebumps from the other team calling a time out, and then the crowd goes nuts. That is why I bought season tix with the hopes of that happening this year.

With Brackins giving up the draft, you have to root for March Madness this season. I hope both, but bball needs to get there.

I'm really excited about the new football coaches/team this season. And with the returning talent and additions we have coming in basketball. Which are you most anxious for.... Football team going to a Bowl game or the basketball team dancing in March Madness? (I would love both, but I am in dire need of seeing us in March Madness this season).

March Madness. MUCH, MUCH more crucial.

Just getting to MM means you have a shot at the NC, slim as it may be. BCS bowls other than the NC are basically meaningless bragging rights. The football team will never win a NC, the basketball team could if we get hot at the right time and have a talented lineup.

I can't even imagine having to pick between these two, there isn't any reason we can't do both. However with that being said, probably March Madness, higher expectations, must for BB program, McDermott, and Brackins.

Football team isn't going undefeated so National Title is out, and if I have to pick between NIT and Boise I pick NIT.

I do love ISU football (doing the drive back this weekend for the Army game), but an NCAA tourney birth in MBB would be huge for the program... it would hopefully ignite Hilton Magic again and create some momentum for the program in general even in CB goes pro after the season. I'm just thinking how much more excited I'd be on selection sunday and then the first thurs/fri. of March Madness, and seeing ISU play as compared to watching ISU in a weedwacker car tire-sponsored bowl vs. a MAC or big east team in football. If we can get by K-State in football however, and somehow pluck off Baylor and or CU/aTm, bowling and dancing in the same year are quite possible.
