If only they had netflix for books, I could just add all these to my queue and not have to try to remember them and get to the library.

I would put one of my favorites as Animal Farm, and am currently reading The Millionaire Next Door.

Reading "For Whom the Bell Tolls" currently. If you've never read Greg Iles, I highly recommend him for sheer entertainment value. His novels are impossible to put down -"Spandau Phoenix, Black Cross, 24 Hours", etc..

They are usually a different topic, intelligently researched, and set to a incredibly thrilling pace from the 1st page. He draws you in and hooks you like no other author I've read.

Ben Mezerich is great. Another unknown and a book that has stayed with me ever since I read it was "The Truth Machine" by James Halperin.

Thanks for some suggestions on here, going to pick a few of these up that people brought up.

I just finished "World War Z" by Max Brooks. Prior to that was the "Namath" biography. Both good reads.

Stuff I would recommend:

Headslap (The David "Deacon" Jones Biography)
Flesh and Blood (The Butkis Biography)
Th Evolution of the Game
Ender's Game
Walking Dead (comic series)

I do want to read "Blood in the Cage", its next on my list.

just finished "Blackwater" fascinating read about the merc army thats growing like crazy over the last decade.... currently reading "Rule by Secrecy" about the history of the Council of Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission. A must read if you're into finding out more about the movement for global government (which right-wing fav Glen Beck has even been talking about in mainstream media lately).

How does that compare to "Tipping Point" and "Blink"? I liked both of those, but didn't think "Outliers" seemed as intriguing at first glance.

Ender's Game most definitely. Is probably one of my favorites of all time.

I've not had time to read many books lately, but I've read some of the known space books from Niven - I enjoyed Ringworld and a couple of the others. He also wrote Lucifer's Hammer - a pretty good apocalyptic book if you're into that kind of thing.

And it's been a while, but I enjoyed the Tom Clancy Jack Ryan series of books.

Conversations With God I, II, and III. No books have ever had as much influence on me as these. I've read them several times. They've changed the way I think about life, death, and the afterlife.

I am about half way through "The Rising Tide" by Jeff Shaara, it is a historical fiction novel about the north African theater of WWII. Really good so far.

I don't think I've ever LOL when reading a book. I've found stuff funny but I don't think I've ever really laughed while reading. Even when someone says something funny on CF and I post a LOL message, in reality, I'm really not laughing out loud.

Sorry if all those reps I gave to people with the LOL message don't mean anything now, I just wanted to be honest.

For quite awhile I've been a pretty big fan of The Travel Channel's show "No Reservations" with Anthony Bourdain...needless to say I've finally bought his books ("A Cook's Tour and "The Nasty Bits") and every one is a fascinating read to anybody remotely interested in travel / food, or if anybody has ever held a job related to foodservice or in a restaurant at any time in their life I would highly recommend his first book "Kitchen Confidential"...absolutely hilarious at times and sheds a very interesting light on the restaurant business!
