That's the most frustrating part for me.... the bolded statement above. I didn't see anything different offensively or defensively schematically. It looked like the same plays we've seen the last 7 years.

Honestly the play calling has been a lot different from previous years.

We actually throw it to people that had mismatches. I felt like previous years we acted like we could only throw it to people that were wide open. Remember how PR said Lanning's throw to Lazard was a bad decision?

I agree. I'm afraid that the UNI game will look like a picnic compared to the snuff film that's going to take place Saturday night.

According to cfbmatrix (heavy analytics) Campbell was the only negative coach effect hire that went G5 to P5. Toledo always had the top talent in the MAC...didn't win like they should though.

I hate this but you have a point. I was amazed when I looked up his head coaching record to see that he never even won his division in his time there. Hopefully he will get it turned around.
