I think both had a lot more potential coming in then they exhibited while here. I remember watching them the start of their freshman season and thinking we struck gold. I personally think their play and skill levels have dropped since their freshman year though.
I really don't think that either of them would have won us any more games next year than we're already looking to win. Curtis can make a play but often came way too short. He would make one great play but would throw two other offensive sets away to get it. Curtis is way to concerned with looking good rather than making the best decision. I don't think he sees the court in the same way that Tinsley or some others have.
Blalock is fairly consistent but he's not a real slasher and can't hit the three well enough consistently. He has some great ball controll and won't make stupid plays. He doesn't however make plays on his own either.
When you add up the pros and cons of each, I think we can be more effective with a three, four, or five guard roation with our players next year than we would have been with just Curtis and Will with Degand as a backup.
