OUCH!!! Well... good luck to him, I wish him the best, and thanks for his contributions to ISU ball.

As for the article... as much as I wanted to get a lot of those guys back.. I don't know how they can say Carr, Taggart, and Degand were rising players. I love the guys... but Carr had a down year... aka falling, hopefully going to rebound. Taggart... hope he rises... but I didn't see any rising... more or less fell from what the expectations were. Degand... did he play last year, cuz I didn't see him on the floor... so there's no way I could tell if he was rising in his talent.

I guess at least we know something for sure, now. Good luck to Will, I hope he gets some good stuff in the NBA.

What about the portion of the article where Stinson claims he will be returning if he doesn't go in the first round? I thought that a return was not possible once an agent was hired.

Best of luck to Will. I think he has a great future in the NBA. We will miss him, but I wish him and his family well. Thanks for three great years Will.

The thing that really stood out to me was Shawn Taggart being "super athletic". He may be a lot of things, but he ain't that.

Wow. I've been asleep for a year. We all the "rising" talent mentioned in this article we must have had a NCAA tourney team last year??? I'm not sure if my comment is more about our underachieving team or the limited value of some of these scouting services......

Wow, this has all been a swift kick in the nuts that I didn't need to start my Wednesday morning. While I do think we're going to be talented and well coached next year, it's going to feel like we're watching "The Replacements" in basketball uniforms.

The term 'rising sophomore' has nothing to do with talent or portential. It means 'someone who is going to be a sophomore in the coming year.'

Count me in the camp that says young Will will spend some time in the NBDL or overseas for awhile...

Go Cyclones!

I hope someone takes a chance with him. He is NBA material, even if he needed another year in college to prove it.

Did I not already guarantee this to everyone multiple times? Why is it such a shock? Good luck to him.

Although I wish him the best of luck, I will be very surprised if he gets drafted. Another year would have been benificial to work on his game, especially his jump shot. He does have a much better chance than Curtis, but I see him either overseas or in the development leauge. But they both did some great things for Cyclone basketball and will be sorely mised.

Maybe the Celtics really expect to pick him up if he is undrafted. Time will tell. Certainly means we will have about the greenest team on the court. Rashon is the Old Man at a full 2 yrs experience; Marsden, Jiri, Devan at 1 yr each, and other role players probably do not count. That is 5 years total experience = most inexperienced team in the Big 12 except for Colorado. Guess this means the eventual end of our East Coast connection with the departure of Will unless Rashon helps out. We will become a more Midwest rooted team.

My ideas of Curtis and Blalock shifts from really saying there were great Cyclones to saying there were almost great....another year and who knows where we would have been, but as it stands, I think they both left too early to become historically great for our program. (then again, this could just be disappointment that they left, and it'll change after some time)

Good luck to Will and Curtis. I hope they both have successful careers in the NBA. As an ISU fan it was fun to watch these talented players but at the sametime their careers will seem incomplete to me. Kind of like going on date with the hottest girl in school and just getting a kiss at the end.

I don't think they can be considered 'great' players at ISU, they never won anything. Talented players at ISU, but not great, fun to watch, but just good in ISU historically.
