I have a Curve. Download Opera for your browser (www.opera.com, I think). I got "MobileMe" for mobile IM, something called VibAndRing (that makes it so your phone vibrates and rings simultaneously, instead of waiting), then got Bubble Popper and Spider Solitaire for free.

If you have a yahoo email acct and/or yahoo fantasy leagues, 'Yahoo Go!' Is a MUST. And free.

Angie- what about opera do you like? And I'll have to get vibandring. Sounds like a must

I really like that Opera is just really easy to use - the address bar is much easier to use than the built-in browser, and the bookmarks, etc. are great. You can also page up/down, and zoom in on text.

LOVE vibandring. It's especially great at games.

I just got a Storm for Christmas so I'll be checking this thread. I've never owned a BlackBerry so I've got a deer-in-the-headlights looks right now.

My wife and I both got one on Monday. I am finding right now a lot of my favorite apps on the curve have not been updated for the storm yet. I'm sure in another month or so the apps will start showing up a bit more for the storm. Here is a good link for a bunch of good storm apps.

This is also a great site to dig around on for info on BlackBerries.

I found that forum last week. I ended up downloading Opera, AP News Reader, Flycast, YouTube, Phone Lock and Quickpull.

On the storm the blackberry browser is very comparable IMO. On the curve I agree, I used opera much more then.

My wife is contemplating a Blackberry for work, but her co-workers have advised not to do it because the e-mail doesn't work well. She's at Drake and to my knowledge they do not have an Enterprise server so it would have to be setup using web client. Has anybody ever had a problem with e-mail via Blackberry and Verizon?

They all think she should get an iPhone after switching from Blackberrys, but I'm very happy with Verizon's coverage. We travel a lot in rural SD, NE and IL and there has never been a problem. I know AT&Ts network is ok, but I don't think it's as good as Verizon's.

I was using the BIS(personal) and the BES(cooperate) when I had my personal phone and work phone and the email clients were both very even. I could not tell a difference and like them much better than the performance I get through my ipod touch. The only thing I haven't figured out is how to get my phone calender to sync with my computer calender but then again I haven't tried too hard to figure it out.
