Birthday Cake Selection

So it is my birthday coming up and I am faced with a very difficult decision. What is the best birthday cake? Baked, ice cream cake, cheesecake? What kind of baked cake? Funfetti, chocolate, white? What kind of ice cream do I get to go with it? I am sure it will all taste the same with the amount of alcohol I plan on consuming.

I am leaning towards funfetti cake with cookies and cream ice cream.

Honestly, ice cream cakes are on a whole different level. It's tough to compare "normal" cakes to them. I'd definitely choose an ice cream cake in most situations. Otherwise it'd be chocolate cake with chocolate frosting.

For ice cream, if you are in or near Ames tomorrow (Wednesday) get ISU Dairy Club ice cream. They sell several flavors in styrofoam cups for $1 each. Kildee Hall lobby area to the north of Lush Auditorium. Best ice cream around for that price AND you're helping an ISU club.11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Every Wed. during the school year.
