Tuco is a product of:
1) crappy KU boards
2) seriously threatened by Iowa State

There is no other reason that KU trolls come around here unless their bored or they feel threatened.

We have some overly sensitive douchnozzles around here. Misleading title? Please...a thread title is the topic of discussion, not a statement of fact. Apparently the recommended way to boost your ranking is to shamelessly critique the semantics of message boards. Ain't nobody got time for that.

As for Self, keep him in KU at all costs! The Big 12 doesn't keep its image as the "top conference" without him. And I need a good villain to hate on in conference!

Douchnozzles? I found a new word to use. I like that!

Why are we assuming that Self would be on the list if they were to fire Brooks? Recent evidence says:

1: Two years ago, he had the #1 draft NBA pick (Recruit too) and #3 NBA draft pick (top 5 recruit)... Kind of like having Durant and Westbrook, right? To be fair, Self did lose Embiid (much like Durant this year though for Brooks) and KU got rolled early in both the the Big 12 Tourney and NCAA with overwhelming odds in KU's favor.

2: When has Self showed he can do more with less? Like more with dramtically less. Unfortunately in the NBA they have a draft, not a crazy budget and army of coaches to hand you MCDA each year. I love OKC but I agree with the other posters that Durant heading back to Washington is a strong possibility. I doubt he reloads with the two low NBA picks and the sell of a "rich" basketball city or state that is not OKC / Oklahoma.

3: Is Self a hot coach? Who in the KU fan base isn't disappointed at the last three years? I'm not dismissing the league championships but I think with the talent, they've under achieved, right? Underachieving get coaches fired very quickly in the NBA. See George Karl and Lionel Hollins - two 50 win seasons.

4: My first post is targeted at jabs to KU. Ha!

If Brooks magically was fired and Self magically 100% wanted the job... OKC still passes.

Stupid post, I almost went ******** reading point 3.

Why create another thread that tuco can ruin? All you're doing by creating this is giving him a HUGE chance to be annoying again. Great job!

Once again you are missing the point. This thread was created to distract Tuco from other threads. Seems to be working. Previous to this thread's existence he always bumped the Diallo thread. Now that this thread was created, no more Diallo thread. See how that works?

It's worth doing it just to see how much it bothers you.
He's just one poster. You're making him a bigger deal to you by letting his presence bother you.

Maybe we need more Kansas bait threads.

Come on dude, I'm sure Bill loves his son, but if this is something he truly wants, then he's not basing his decision on his walk on son, who wouldn't sniff the team if it wasn't for him.

I don't think players can have two red shirt years but another year off would be very much like Tyler's sophomore year when he played a total of 12 minutes and scored 2 points.

I don't know why any successful college coach would take an NBA coaching job. I haven't followed the NBA much since Fred retired but most years one or two Eastern Conference teams make the play-offs with a slightly losing record. Most coaches don't like to lose but even the best of them do often times due to injuries.

Even if the Thunder doubled Self's salary he would be underpaid because if his team advanced far into the play-offs he could be coaching more than three times as many games as are played by even the NCAA championship team.

Not many coaches have security as teams recycle them with no remorse. Just two or three years ago George Karl was the NBA coach of the year and soon after the Nuggets fired him. Since April 21 of last year 43.34% of NBA have new coaches. 7 were fired, 2 contracts were not renewed, 1 was demoted, 1 resigned, 1 was let out of his contract on request in exchange for the Bucks to pay two future 2nd round draft picks and 1 resigned.

It would seem Self has had his son for over 18 years and if he truly was this wizard of a coach he could have developed his son into enough of a player to get more than 12 minutes playing time on the season.

I wonder how Self would like coaching 4 games in 5 nights as that happens in the NBA as teams swing from coast to coast.

Dude, this is awesome. You should have just started and ended with this. It fits in this thread perfectly.

And here I was thinking it was just the fact that the ISU fan base had given up on landing Diallo that led to that thread's demise.

Yes it was... It was your posting in it that kept the thread alive much longer than needed... How were you not able to pick that up from the guys post? Your response to him doesn't even make sense.

They will pay the max for those two, so you can stop being dumb

And harden was 6th man who choked horribly against the heat in the finals. They chose to pay Ibaka, because of his upside.

Actually you just revealed your own cluelessness by posting this. Tuco is saying they can't justify paying a truckload of money to BS after they let Harden go for monetary reasons.
And Idon't even follow the NBA.

Of course they could have paid harden. They could have paid both, as neither were max players. If you actually remember the trade, the thunder got Kevin Martin who was a solid player in Sacramento for many years, Jeremy lamb, a rookie who was considered to have huge upside (dunking ability aside), and a bunch of draft picks.

At the time harden was 6th man of the year. But he's a 6'5 2 guard, Ibaka was an emerging force, 21 years old, defensive presence with a nice stroke out to 18 feet. They are much more difficult to find.

They could have kept both and tried to win a title that season. It was a bad trade at the time and looks like a terrible trade today. I get owners not wanting to pay the luxury tax when the team is average to bad, but when teams are at the championship level and cheap out, I don't understand that. Isn't that the whole point in owning a team?
