BIG TEN NETWORK being dropped by Comcast in May

Makes sense. Drop it during the summer, renegotiate for football season in the fall. Sounds oddly familiar with my programming habits.
As of right now I think Comcast is just trying to leverage BTN to reduce their price. This is a ballsy move by Comcast though but I love it. BTN gouged TV markets within the conferences footprint and the schools made a ton of money off of it but it will all come full circle.
Yep, for every article that the B1G brags about revenues from the network and how much each school receives, were they dumb enough to think the cable companies don't read this and remember having the B1G shoved down their throats as a basic package? Interesting to see other cable companies drop them for a subscription model. Adding crappy Rutgers and Maryland just for the TV sets won't look so smart if revenues start to drop.

Who doesn't want to see the likes of Northwestern and Rutgers football game? It rivals watching golf to put one to sleep.

The cable and satellite companies are losing subscribers at a ridiculous rate. They can't continue to ask their remaining subscribers to pick up more of the tab for ESPN, ESPN 2, BTN, etc. Obviously the BTN2Go platform can help offset the loss but your are only talking about a fraction of the subscribers you previously had via the cable/satellite route.
Wait, so it being dropped from their basic package to their sports package? Or will it not be an offering at all, regardless of the TV package?
Don't you need a cable subscription to access BTN2Go?
If yes, then that's not a different set of subscribers.

I'm pretty sure it is available with certain cable subscriptions but you can buy a monthly/yearly subscription.
Or the programs about 90's Nebraska when they were good but not in the Big Ten.
Those crack me up, especially when they had Tommie Frazier as one of the best BIG qbs of all time. lol
