Has anyone received their tickets through ISU yet? I haven't. I'm sure we have the same problem as last year, hope we can fill all the orders.

Haven't gotten mine yet, probably closer to the end of the month I'd guess. I should put it in my calendar when they come every year so I'd have a better idea

I know last year Pollard bought up extra tickets from schools that would not draw a large fanbase...hope it's the same situation this year but haven't heard anything. Number of requests have surpassed last year.

I think Iowa State announced Feb. 25 last year that they had bought up extra tickets from other schools. If a higher number of season ticket holders requested tickets in K.C. for this year (which is likely), then they may be buying up extras to fulfill those orders and might not have anything left for the general public.

Is the Sprint Center selling them directly, or is that done already?

I contacted the Sprint Center yesterday. They have not gone on sale yet.

Possible ISU is trying to buy more tickets from the Sprint Center to accommodate requests? I believe we were supposed to be called this week if our request was not met but now the ticket office is saying this will happen next week.

Sheraton in KC still has room available if you need a place to stay. Pretty pricey though.

I stopped by the sprint center the other day and asked if they had a date when tickets would be on sale. They didn't have a date but they did confirm that it should be pretty soon.

Any good hotel tips? we went last year, but it was a spur of the moment type deal and we just got a super cheap room at Econolodge. I'd like to do something nicer this time around as we're potentially staying Thursday through Sunday. I'd also like to be around the tournament atmosphere.

We never made it to Kelly's last year either, is that worth it?

I emailed Sprint Center and they said they haven't set a date for Sprintcenter.com to release them yet. Last year they released the tickets on February 6th, so I'm assuming that they may be selling more to the Universities this year.

The Westin and Sheraton are good picks and close to the Sprint Center. Kelly's is great if you want to make the trek but the Power and Lights District should have everything you need. Lots of ISU and other school basketball fans....food/drinks and it's where game festivities kick off.
