Better Offensive Stats NU or ISU

Good afternoon,
2 weeks til football starts and I can't wait.
I'm a big Nebraska fan and I truely believe Nebraska will end the season ahead of ISU in these two major offensive statistics: Yards/game and Points/game.
I realize you will all think I'm just a homer. Just a fun discussion point and we'll see who's correct at the end of the season.

I think with NU's strong defense and our inexperienced defense, that might play into us actually putting up more offensive yards and points, mostly because we will be forced to. We may be involved in a few more high scoring games. If Cotton lets the offense spread out, we have the potential to really be explosive.

Nebraska: YPG - 320.5 PPG - 24.6
Iowa State: YPG - 356 PPG - 28.25

ISU has the same offense from last year, and replaces fewer than Nebraska will on the offensive side of the ball. Chances are those stats should remain unchanged from last year.

Ummm... yeah. Without looking at nebraska's schedule, I'm guessing it is weaker that ISU's. So comparing those stats at the end of the season, is more or less pointless. However, if we compare the stats with similar opponents, I would have to say ISU will come out on top.

Yeah, I remember when Nebraska routinely had almost 500 ypg. Now they are noted more as a defensive team. Things change.

Another cornerback is injured at BigRedville: Andre Jones. He has a nasty hamstring injury. Another body, Titus Brothers, has temporarily been promoted. Titus is fairly new to this position, but he can hit hard. Like Adam Sandler in Waterboy. Next thing you know, they will have to put green practice jerseys on the cornerbacks.

If memory serves, no OU, no Tech, just Texas, Texas A&M, and good old Baylor. Which is why most experts are picking them to win El Norte.

We'll learn a lot more against USC this weekend. I believe we (Nebraska) will need to score 30+ to win. Good luck against Iowa this weekend. Need some wins from the North division in order to get some respect.

That is the Redville approach. For the record Andre Jones came back and fell down and clunked his head so he sat out some plays. But Andre the Mudffin Man is back and ready to play for Redville.
