Help me, need to replace my decade old Linksys as it maxes at 25Mbps. Last replacement was some Asus that crapped out after 3 months so I returned. Looked into TP-Link C9 for $120 but support sounds like it sucks if something fails and it might be more than I need. Just had the 15Mbps so router was fine but need more data so bumping to 50 or 100.

For the most part, you can probably buy any name brand router over $75 and get pretty similar results. As for TP-Link, most of their Archer series routers get great reviews. There are some differences among them so check what features you want and don't want.

I went with the google OnHUB (I went with TP link version, there is also an ASUS version) and I really like it. Real simple fairly high end but not as adjustable as some (which is a plus for most people) it just works well. Great range for my whole property (in town lot). I live in ranch though so I cant say how it works on multiple floors.

I don't know actually, you could ask. Worst case you could return and rebuy if you still have the box and everything.
In case you or anyone is wondering, they don't do refunds on most things, only select things that have competitive pricing. So routers don't, she mentioned that TV's do. You don't have to have the original box to return, think I'll just rebuy it and send back the one I have in the new box that comes. Any box works.
