I'm a big fan of fried chicken. My question is, who has the best?

1) KFC

2) Popeye's

3) Church's

4) They all taste the same when you are drunk

There's a little place in S.E. Iowa - Mt. Hamil Tap. Their slogan is "You have to be a rooster to get a better piece of chicken."
They serve beer, so option four may come into play. In fact they call it "beer batter" chicken.

Not sure you can classify any of those as "chicken" I would much rather have Hy-Vee's or Walmarts if it is fresh and hasn't been sitting there all day.

Rubber for rubber?

Try the broasted chicken at Whiskey River.

Best chicken in the state. They also have rubber bugs that, upon request, will placed in the mark's food.

White Fence Farm in Lockport Illinois. (The original location, none of the spin-off b.s. strip mall locations)

Followed closely by the original Kentucky Fried Chicken, still prepared at "The Doe Run Inn" located in rural Brandenburg, Kentucky.

Though there is a road-side cart near the Ahmed Masood circle in Kabul that is pretty darned good, if you ignore the dust, flies, and nearby sheep being slaughtered.

Of those, it used to be KFC but now Popeye's I think. The original recipe at KFC seems to have changed.

I really like Hy-Vee fried chicken.

Having worked with that chicken for years customers....If i was brutally honest with the customers i'd tell them to go elsewhere...because that chicken can sit in the prepared case for upwards of about 3-4 hours before its even used.....By far the best is Popeyes...Lovin the cajun fried chicken

Well to answer your question, Church's takes the cake. It's a danged shame we don't have one in Ames... or DSM... or Iowa...
