Best Burger in Ames

I had the Iowa Stater w/Fried Egg today at the Iowa Stater at the Gateway and it was one of the best burgers I have ever had and it got me pondering.

Where do you think the best burger* in Ames is?


*Not counting B-Bops because we know they are great AF, but only wanting sit down places.

Pizza Burger at DQ. Not really a burger, but it's the only DQ I know of that still has these.

I agree, great burger. I think the Iowa Stater is better (Probably because of recency bias).

Some of you may think it's a snooty place but Aunt Maudes runs burger specials once in a while and they are really good.

The Oddfellows "Holy Guacamole" was my favorite. If the Oddfellows and Brick City locations were reversed, I'm guessing it would still be going strong.

I agree, hands down the Iowa Stater is the best burger in Ames. Cooked to how you want it. How Brick City won best burger in Iowa is beyond me. I for one will never go back there again. Bad service and dry burgers but that's mine and my wife's opinion.

Dude can cook and make a good product just has picked bad locations.

The Cafe Burger at The Cafe in Somerset is very tasty and not your typical burger. Quality, local ingredients prepared properly.

I'd say the garbage burger at Hickory Park or the Cafe burger. But I haven't tried the one at the Iowa Stater.
