Second Machine Shed. You won't leave hungry.
I've eaten way too many breakfasts at the Windsor Heights HyVee.

Another vote for the Waveland, althought AK O'Conner's Sunday Brunch is excellent too... Porky's also has a decent breakfast but not sure how much longer they will be around...

Did any of you ever eat at the Grove Cafe on Main Street during your time in Ames? Those pancakes are incredible...

I 2nd Baby Boomers in the East Village. My wife heard good things so we went there last week for the first time. Terrific small cafe, with lots of good food. They've been getting lots of National Pub too because the Obama family LOVES their chocolate chip cookies....for what its worth.

I ate at The Grove several times and it was pretty good! If anyone takes the time to drive to Ames for breakfast they have to go to The Cafe out on North Stange, right by the newest Ames Racquet and Fitness Center. That place opened up the year before I left town, it was probly the best place Ive ever eaten breakfast at. They use all farm fresh produce from the surrounding area.
