I love this stuff but it's so expensive. Does anybody have any good recipies that you can make in the oven? I don't have a dehydrator. Thanks guys!

We make it often in regular oven and like it better than most you can buy. We just buy seasoning packet at grocery store, I think it is "Mountain Jerky". I think its about $6 to season 20#. Fairway has the best meat & will slice it for you to pick up the next day.

How long do you cook it in the oven and at what temp? I was thinking about getting the meat from Fairway, I'd heard that before.

you season both sides then refrigerate 24 hrs. 200 degrees for about 1 hour 20 minutes or so. I like the original & the pepper, didn't care for cajun.

Can I use all the round steak I got as part of this half cow? I hate that stuff it is so hard to use for anything, but I never thought of jerky!

Yes, it would be less tough than the brisket.

Wow, thanks guys, I love CF, I have 25lbs of this crap meat, I had just been using the steaks as roasts or chop it up into small pieces for use in chili, or slicing it thin and using it as stir fry.
