Did some reading on their site and there are some pretty delusional fans in the Baylor camp. We have our fair share of optimistic fans on this site (I am one of them) but there are some that cross that line down in Waco.

Darn, they disabled registration. I was just hopping on to contribute. :(

Hmm. That explains why I have been the lone Clone over there. I registered there the last time they played us, with my old rivals sign in name (which dates back to high school). I visited that board this spring to get info about my upcoming trip this weekend, and when I went to register it told me I already had, and emailed me the old login name and password. They have been pretty nice about giving me info about tailgating, where to eat, etc. However, in threads about they actual game, alot of them have been pricks, and most of them seem to think they'll beat us like we're a juco or something. They seem to think the same thing about our board that we think of theirs, lol.

Wow. LOTS of kool-aid being brewed over there. I would bet that none of them have even seen our guys play, they're just trying to read stats and predict how the game plays out.

I've seen Baylor play and know that their QB is good, but better than Arnaud? OK, I guess....we shall see. Our defense isn't stellar but our secondary is sure as hell better than theirs.

I think each and every one of us should go the the baylor board and each of us start at least one new thread to talk about the game. One of us should start many threads.

My favorite post:

Forgive me [other poster], but I am having great difficulty getting my anger worked up for the lowly Cyclones. Kind of like wishing Forrest Gump would fall on his *** and die. I am just having trouble with that.

This coming from Baylor? Oh, that's right, they were a "powerhouse" before the Big 12 was formed. That automatically means they will win this game.

Welcome to wacotrib!

Caught this off their board as well. Pretty good matchup predictions
Baylor offense > ISU defense
ISU offense > BU defense
ISU ST > BU ST
BU Intangibles > ISU

I understand completely where we stand in the big scheme of things in BCS Football, but you are not a true football fan if you think Baylor is superior to ISU. ISU has had some bad teams, but when was the last time Baylor has finished a season being ranked or even been ranked. Plus we are rebuilding. I think most of them get that, but like everywhere there is always idiots. And most of them are the loudest.

For some reason I don't think people will be saying this type of stuff on year 4 of GC.

From that prediction thread listed earlier:

Baylor 35

ISU 14

Kick Iowa State out of the Big XII.

:biglaugh:

Jesus, they are just as bad as A&M! If we kicked teams out of conferences based solely on athletic performance, Baylor would have been long gone years ago.

Wow! I didn't realize Baylor was that much better than us. I'm not even sure if we will compete with them?

BU 45
ISU 7

They are pretty arrogant for being irrelevant for the last 20 years. Maybe we are a little more in touch with the real world.

Careful....or the BU fans will come in here yapping about how many golf, track and cross country championships they have gotten in recent years.
