Was pulling for the Cats, but kinda glad KSU didn't upset Baylor though. Don't want a team we are about to play to be mad at a letdown and taking it out on us.

Throw incompletions further down the field?
The guy is hurt and he has been pretty much all season. Unless you were a QB at some point in life you don't understand how having a bum ankle can mess with your throwing. That is a problem we have with QBs at ISU, if they have a bad game or 2 we are quick to throw them under the bus. I remember Arnaud saying something along the lines that ISU needs to pick a young QB and stick with him for better or worse. I know when Sam is healthy, he will be great for us and come senior year for him he is going be a stud

I prefer exactly what happened here. Baylor wins, and wont be looking for revenge next week. ISU gets film of a game where Baylor was held to half their scoring average.

LOL, yes, I had a typo. I meant not sure why I feel so happy. I wanted Baylor to win. Screw purple Kansas.

Actually it's the best outcome for BU.

- A bad performance that refocuses guys that have been praised all year
- Offensive issues that come down to our execution than anything else. KSU "stopped" us on 6 drives.

a- 2 of them were open passes that we simply dropped and were well thrown.
b- An ineligible downfield penalty takes away a 1st down conversion and it honestly had no bearing on the play. Lucky break that we will iron out.
c- We also turned it over on 1st down when Petty was hit as he was about to throw the ball away. It should have already been thrown and they had the good fortune of having it bounce right to the defender's belly. QB had plenty of time but was simply late making a decision. Nice effort play by them but not anything we should worry about going forward. Petty will lean from it and won't wait 6.5 seconds to make a decision.

- The other 2 drives I give KSU credit for more than our mistakes.

a- The drive before the half where we didn't run it due to clock.
b- The one where we had a pass pro gaffe allow a sack on Petty. We should have executed but they made a good play. The center and RG both acted like the other was going to take the guy. We made a mistake but you can't take every play away from the D.

- Their offense did well handling our DL. However it was beyond stupid for the DC to keep both safeties back which would have made a difference.

It will be interesting to see how we match up with ISU. I think Richardson/Bundrage will be a good test before we see Stoops. I know ISU has had OL issues this year but being able to see another team that will run QB reads from a balanced offensive framework will help immensely in preparation.

Hopefully win or lose our team helps ISU with the back end of their slate as well. Obviously I want to win but I have a good respect for Rhoads and I hope you guys do well after our game.
