1978: Low cut Puma suede's to go along with the short shorts and knee high socks. Hi-tops were not cool then so instead we settled for high-top tape jobs for the constant ankle sprains. Side note: Pulled out my 1980's Reebok pumps this summer to do some ballin' on the driveway. The soles started disintegrating before I was able to reach maximum height!

The 1966-7 Hebron Bears wore low cut black J.C. Penney tennis shoes all the way through the semi finals of the state tournament in Lincoln. The shoes looked like a black Converse all star--canvas baby!

Converse Magic Johnson shoes from back in the mid-80's. Even matched our school colors so we had these as our team shoes.

I had the Kevin Johnson Cons as well- 8th grade basketball. A kid on the team scored a layup for the other team because he went the wrong way.

I got these from my little brother... Yes little brother. Who used them for summer champs but didn't like. I thought they were the best feeling shoes.

I think I wore them for 2 years.

The year before I had these... And easily they were the worst shoes I ever had. No traction on the court and just felt weird.

We had team shoes every year but after the first few weeks of practice and a game or two everyone decided to buy their own shoes. Some of the people who kept their shoes went threw 2 or 3 pairs. Sadly they were the rebook pumps.
