Why would somebody want to go to Iowa to play basketball? That is a serious question. What would be the recruiting pitch?

Is this kid really that good? I haven't seen much of anything in the terms of evaluations from Rivals/ESPN.

Just based on his measurables, the tape I've seen and other's description of his game, his game sounds a hell of alot like Alex Thompson did coming out of high school.

you'll probably get slammed but I question whether he can guard the wing in the Big XII. I wonder if he'd be a roll player.(designated shooter off the bench)I think UNI is his best option, could do very well as a step out 4 in their system.

Disagree. Has more skills than Thompson. Probably not as athletic in high school as Thompson was. But a better handle and passer for sure

That doesn't sound all that desirable to me.

Alex Thompson might have had a decent career had he had a half decent coach in his career. If this Uthoff kid has even the moderate skills that Alex had, I am hopeful he can have a better career wherever he goes

Thompson in high school was touted as a very skilled big man. He moved very well for his size and had a solid jumpshot. As far as I remember, he was also projected as more of a wing player than a PF coming out of high school, much in the same way as Uthoff. Everything I see on him is "he does 'something' well for his height". That was the same thing you'd hear over and over about Thompson...

The fans care about the basketball team is the biggest difference between ISU and Iowa basketball, as well as the fact that the Big 12 is far and away a better b-ball conference and that ISU actually has the ability to put some guys in the NBA.

LOL. Did you really just claim the Big 12 to be a far and away better basketball conference than the Big 10?? I can't believe I just read that! I'm almost speechless at how egregiously incorrect that statement is.

Since you consider the statement to be "egregiously incorrect" you should have an easy time making a complete and objective proof of its incorrectness, no?

Why don't you do so?

Then prove me otherwise? If Tom Izzo wasn't in the Big 10, they would be a joke of a basketball conference. And congrats Big 10 on having one NBA draft pick this year.
