Great question! Anyone have a feeling as to how the R-backs will be used in a Shotgun formation? Blocking, bubbles, 4th or 5th receiver....

It'll probably be a better setup for A-Robs in terms of producing offense. It's tough to say who they'd keep in the backfield as a blocker though, since he's the only one with game action.

Of the things DMac did or didn't do that didn't make any sense, underusing Ryan Koch throughout his career ranks near the top.

I'd love to see Hiawatha and the Davis brothers added to this list for comparison. Then perhaps dig up some of the backs from Jim Walden's era.

It sounds like Herman's offense is entirely out of the shotgun. What does that mean for our backs? I think we have talent at this position and just wonder if they are going to be featured enough. Would that style favor either A-Rob or Bo? If I am a Jeremiah Schwartz I would be looking around. That doesn't seem like a fit.

They are 3 differnt types of backs, so the running game would be hard to get ready for. Coach has said they are going to use the best players. I dont think Rice had a very good back so they didnt run the ball much. Given there are 3 backs here we think are good there is no reason to think they wont get their shots at touching the ball. Passes to backs maybe making a come back to Ames. PR has said they will run the ball.
