I hope Kansas gets blasted by 30. I want it to be so embarrassing that Self is compelled to apologize to his bosses at Adidas.
I prefer Kansas win but this would certainly be an acceptable outcome.

I guess the positive about this game is that at least one of these cheaters is going to lose.

If KU wins, does a player accidentally remove Self's toupee?

You'd better be rooting for Kansas. Among all of the conference realignment uncertainty, it is unequivocally a good thing for the Big 12 and for ISU if Kansas wins tonight. I get that it doesn't feel good.
Like I'm really going to be able to concentrate on my hatred of KU and UNC when you have that avatar.

Basketball 100% does not matter in realignment, so I reject your reasoning.

Way up there
As awful as KU is, they are nothing compared to UNC. This final 4 just made me feel kind of sleezy. Had to join forces with some of the most despicable programs out there just to defeat the evil genius. It's about like the Allies teaming up with Stalin in WW2.

Both coaches are the coaches that replaced Roy Williams at their respective school. Kind of an interesting factoid about this game. These schools have a lot of linked history. Also, Kansas under Roy beat UNC and Hubert Davis in the Final Four in '91 in Davis's final year at UNC.

it would be good for the Big 12 to win two in a row. I think Baylor would have won in 2020 too. Tech came so close to winning in 2019

It's obviously not the main driver but accounts for about ~20 percent of each conference's TV deal. That is not insignificant.

TV networks still need inventory. Men’s basketball creates more inventory than football does because basketball teams play upwards of 30 games per season over a four-month span, while football teams play 12 games in a three-month span.

I feel like KU probably had the better odds to win in '20 but yeah could have been Baylor. Possibly could have had both in the Final Four. As I said in another thread, think if Baylor had been healthy for the tournament, it would likely be Baylor KU in this game.

Surprised how many have said yes. Maybe the opponent has a lot to do with that. Big 12 team won it last year and another finalist this year. Texas Tech was in the championship a few years ago. I feel like we don't really need more conference credibility. Screw KU. Go Tar Heels.

I’m rooting for UNC because I have a bet on them, but if it wasn’t for that I’d root for Kansas.

I just want a fair game. I understand for Villanova, that game had the Big 12 "wink - wink, hey guys it's KU, no goaltending, no charges, no traveling" refs. Just let whoever brings their best game win.

If it was against a crap load other teams I would root for a crap load of other teams. However, Since it's UNC I am rooting for big 12. Although I kind of like the UNC coach. Feel like he could sway me to becoming a non UNC hater in the future. He has work to do though.
