Do long dog walks count? We do that every morning
Another way to improve focus in the morning; is Sweat Before Screens. I heard someone say that a few years ago and I agree with it.I've been doing it for about a year. I'm at the Y when they open at 530am. I'm in my 50s, with a bad back and hips, so much of my workout consists of strengthening my core, maintaining flexibility and some cardio.
For me, I try to be realistic about what I'm doing. Some days, I just don't have it in me, so instead of a high energy workout, I'll stretch and walk the track for 20 minutes. Something is better than nothing. Over the winter months I worked out M-F and by Friday I was struggling at times. With the warmer temps and being active outside, I've cut back to M-W-F and I feel stronger for longer. You need to find a schedule that works for you rather than trying to replicate someone else's.
Getting up and moving around before starting work has helped improve my focus in the morning.
Worked out at 5 this morning.
if the dog is bigger and likes to pull you around, you get some light cardio and strength training!Do long dog walks count? We do that every morning
I wfh so workout times vary pending on meetings. I try to get it in first good open block of the day. Kid is on the bus at 7am so I'd like to work on shifting to a workout right after that but younger child still needs help getting out the door. I never regret amorning workout once I'm done but man those first 10 minutes feel like torture.
This is kind of what I was looking for. Does it get better. Is my body going to adjust
I consider myself a morning person but some of you are rock stars that are up by 5am and get your workouts in. i'm up by 5:30 most mornings but struggle to get in a 15-20 minute workout in a lot of mornings
