Sounds like a lot of people are not too happy about their "upgrades."

After the fiasco that was the Iowa seat reassignment I knew it would be awful. That's why I didn't increase my donation and took the section move. I moved one section over and 6 rows back - small beans IMO.

Just got ours. Our seats stayed exactly the same.

I had asked to be in the middle of BrianHos's group, but that didn't work out.

No, really, we love our seats. On NCAA Football 06, the camera would enter the field from right by our seats, so that was cool!

Just opened my letter, got moved back 5 rows...stayed in the same section (20). I went from a $50 donation to $250 this year.

Got mine today same seats didnt donate more or anything but as always requested better seats.

Section 12 lower deck look for Gordon Gecko

I dont think people giving more money and the stadium running out of room to seat people is a bad problem...but it would suck if you pony'd up and reduced seats and didnt move.

At least they donated, no one near me donated, and they kept getting seats right by me. I am betting they are still there this year.

I think I saw you in F last year. If that is the case, I know at least one guy that has been sitting there for years and never donated and he told me the other day he is getting the same seats and didn't donate again.

Of course he hadn't receive his confirmation at that time so he may be in line for a surprise.

I just got mine today and we are in the same seats as well with no extra money donated...other than a new Little Cyclone club membership addition.

Did anyone actually get reseated??? (Outside of those displaced by construction) It seems like this was a "pay us more money to keep your same seats". Heck, some people didn't even do that and kept their seats.

IMO, lower level sucks unless you are in one of the top 5 rows in the lower level.

I prefer 1st 5 rows midfield in the balcony.

Agreed, the lower I sit, the harder time I have judging depth and distance. We sit in the front row on the aisle of the balcony, and I won't move even tho' my NCC donation level could get me seats closer to midfield. From up there you can see all the action at the same time.

There are 37 rows in the lower section on the west side. I think this is true for all sections on the west with the new suites.

37 rows in the lower section is correct. I was displaced by construction and went from Cypack section 1 to section 4 row 37 - I couldn't ask for more.

We used to be a few rows down in section 12, just under the overhang. All those rows are now gone due to the construction. Last year we upgraded to gold and requested section 11 because we hoped a year in that "correct" section would give us a bit of priority come this year. Now, according to the letter, those displaced by the loss of seating were given first priority. If we would have known that then, I wonder if we'd waited until this year to upgrade and request new seats, whether we would have gotten our 4 seats together like we'd had for years.
BTW, we got our letter today -- same seats as last year: 2 and 2, but at least they're the same numbered seats in successive rows. We'll try again next year for four seats in the same row.

I have asked to be reseated every year. We were in Gold Plus and couldn't move out of the Cardinal area. This year they eliminated Gold Plus so I went down to Gold. This year I opened up the option of being an East Sider. I will be sitting on the East side and in Section O, row 9.

I am sure that it is easier to move to the East side than get moved on the West.

Probably not 100%, but what if a few people went way higher in their donations?

The other key question is how many people previously were sitting in sections higher than their level. You hear the stories all the time, but it could be a relatively low percentage of people in that section and may easily be canceled by those new donors.

I upped from Gold Plus to Captains and was able to move down 5 rows. Not huge, but something.
