Any doubters on the new I State logo?

I do like the colors going back to Cardinal & Gold instead cherry red. However, I think we have the coolest nickname in college sports the Cyclones. I'm really disappointed that they didn't utilize this in our logo. I wasn't a fan of the whirlybird but I would've loved to see the Cyclones incorporated into the new logo. It distinguishes us from Idaho and Illinois state and it could be very cool.

I love the logo. It looks great on all the field/court renderings for next year.

I very much agree with that, although maybe it's a good thing we didn't given that a Cyclone just killed 100,000 people or so...

I've got the Old Logo tattooed on me so I have a feeling I will always be partial to that one. Plus I will miss people who don't know asking why we had a bird in our "tornado" and explaining the history behind that. The I will never recieve that question. I'm sure over time I may start to enjoy it.

Certainly been asked that one a few times... like during the rain delay during the 4th quarter of the Texas game 2 years ago in Austin...

It was fun explaining for a while, though towards the end we kind of just wanted leaflets to hand out rather than go through the whole story again. Either way, it was a good way to bring up school history

Later that year we went to K-State and stopped at the book store - they were giving out buttons that said "We STILL want to know whats with the bird in the tornado?"

Even though they were purple Warder60 and his brother, myself and Superfan wore those the rest of the day, with a bit of pleasure I might add. We got quite a kick from it...

I'm still not excited with it, maybe it'll grow on me. I didn't care for our current logo (mid 90s til now) but it grew on me.

I'm still a fan of the walking CY and/or the leaning CY like on the CY Ride signs around campus (or that used to be around campus in the late 90's)

My favorite memory of being asked that happened a few years ago at the Big 12 Tournament in KC. We were eating breakfast in a room full of big time Texas boosters with Coach Barnes walked in. He made a comment that he wanted to know where we got "that bird" in our logo. We told him we would explain it when he told us where they came up with that shade of poop brown.

I would guess most people are telling the story that prior to the Northwestern game that we became the "Cyclones" in we were the Cardinals...which is NOT true. Cardinal was our school color but Cy and the Cardinal are relatively new arrivals both occuring in the 1950's when ISU decided it needed a mascot. People usually do not ask me why the bird is in a tornado so much as simply "what the h#&^ is your logo supposed to be?" That, I will be glad to be done with. Of course most of the people I deal with are not in state or in the Big12.

I love the new logo and have started buying shirts...I am just really happy the blue is out of the logo! I really hated that and imo the I-STATE logo can go on any color you want...NO MORE NAVY BLUE IN IT!!!!
