Yeah, he was only getting four snaps a session. Had some vocal remarks about the new coach. Anyone need a lefthander now? UNI? Maybe Nebraska will take him since he is from Papillion. Or UNO.

Ouch, this only leaves two QBs left on their roster; a senior and a freshman. I'd hate to have Meier go down mid-season, and have Freeman have to jump in and assume the leadership role.

From Kansas City Star:

Evridge, meanwhile, seeks a new beginning. Since getting his release Wednesday, several schools have inquired about him, his father said. They include Wisconsin, TCU, Oregon State and New Mexico.

Only 2 QB's for fall camp, way to go Prince! If need be, his merry band of assistant coaches can run the scout team during practice.

Oh, what's even more comical is that several kitty cats had to sit out the first few days of fall practice for not passing the agility tests (http://www.kansas.com/mld/kansas/sports/15214393.htm). Isn't that what summer conditioning is for?

KSUcks football is well on their way to returning to the toliet bowl days of pre Bill Snyder :D

According to Yahoo Sports:

"last month, senior Allen Webb -- who split time as the starter with Evridge last season -- announced he was transferring to Texas College, an NAIA school in Tyler, Texas."

What's with Ron Prince anyway? Seems like he can't keep any of the QBs (or players for that matter) from last year's squad.

He may have a little Bill Callahan in him - he wants his players, new regime. Count how many Big Red leftovers from Solich era are still out there: Matt Herrion, then who?

I intended on making this a post about Everdige situation at KSUcks, however, since the question was asked, here's a list of several Husker players who are all seniors, with the exception of McKeon who's a junior, who were recruited by Solich and are contributors to the team. There are several other seniors, who I left off this list, who are on the roster and not major contributors to the team.

OL Greg Austin
LB Stew Bradley
DB Titus Brothers
DE Adam Carriker
WR turned DB Isaiah Fluellen
OL Kurt Mann
LB Corey McKeon
DE Jay Moore
FS Brandon Rigoni
LB Bo Ruud
S Andrew Shanle
S Tierre Green
TE Josh Mueller
TE J.B. Phillips

Now, in an attempt to get this thread back on topic, it's becoming pretty evident that the Clown Prince must have promised Josh Freeman that he'd be the starter right out of the gate, there are now 2 QB's left on KSUcks roster, Freeman and senior injury-prone QB, Dylan Meier and what's shocking about the Evridge situation is this, from today's Wichita newspaper:

http://www.kansas.com/mld/kansas/sports/colleges/kansas_state_university/15237405.htm

The Kansas State football coach asked Evridge, the sophomore quarterback who started six games in 2005 and informed Prince on Tuesday he was considering transferring, to sleep on the situation overnight and return Wednesday morning with a decision. Evridge was excused from Tuesday's practice.

According to two team sources, Evridge's locker was cleaned out in his absence.
If his mind wasn't made up before he heard about his locker, it certainly was after. Still, he waited until Wednesday.

Evridge, the mobile left-hander from Papillion, Neb., is leaving K-State.

Prince was not available Wednesday. Instead, Evridge told Sean Snyder, associate athletic director for football operations.

Evridge's exit continues a startling string of departures. He'll be the third quarterback to exit Manhattan in five months -- Kevin Lopina announced his intentions in April and transferred to Washington State in June, and Allen Webb landed at Texas College in late July -- and he's the fifth Wildcat to leave the program since June. Wide receiver Ro Grigsby said in June he was forced out and offensive lineman Ryan Schmidt enrolled at South Florida in early July.

He may have a little Bill Callahan in him - he wants his players, new regime. Count how many Big Red leftovers from Solich era are still out there: Matt Herrion, then who?

Prince hasn't even coached a game yet at KSUcks and fans are already getting scared and beginning to turn on him, for the record, I saw more negative posts about Prince than I did positive posts:

http://mb8.scout.com/fkansasstatefrm3.showMessageRange?topicID=15754.topic&start=41&stop=60

I'm not going to bash Prince, but I AM finding that I'm questioning his motives & methods now. Typically I'm really not into "conspiracy theories," but I can't help wondering if he's intended to have Freeman in the top-2 from the very beginning. I hope I'm wrong & I hope he didn't run AE off. IF he did, it was a STUPID, STUPID move.

So lets see boys and girls that leaves us with Meier who we have no idea if he will hold up physically, and a freshman for QB backup. Sorry, but Prince is starting to scare me, and he has not coached a down yet.

I can see maybe two of these QB's leaving, but NOT 3! Prince knew Evridge would leave if he slotted him in at 3rd string. What an insult to the kid after carrying the team for half of last season with an inadequate OL.

So now that Prince has successfully chased off 3 QB's what QB prospect in their right mind would want to come to KSU in either being a permanent backup, or waiting until their senior year before they get to take a snap at KSU? You just killed your QB recruiting efforts for at least the next two years.

Coach Snyder was a huge supporter of Evridge and really you could see he thought he had a KSU QB star in the making. Evridge is just kind of the kid you love having in your program-Great student, plays and competes to all his ability, is a total person and makes you proud to have him as "yours". This is a sad day for the present and will make KSU open for very, very negative recruiting. I'm at the point of cringing everytime this staff does something. The direction this program is going seems 180 degrees from what Coach Snyder built for 17 seasons.

I do not like this one little bit NOW that AE has further spoken on what is the reasoning. I'm 180 on HCRP after reading this. Sorry folks but this smells horrible to me. AE tried to stay? There is only one person who can be blamed for his leaving and that's RP, and thats bull$hit. This kid played his arse off for K-State when we needed him and now he's been kicked to the curb?

Hopefully they stay down and we can make it 2 in a row at their place this year, and 3 in a row against them overall.

Can't say I feel sorry for them after all the merciless beatdowns that Bill Snyder let his first teamers get against us.

I seem to remember that Bill Callahan wanted to get rid of the black shirts at first, use tunnel walk was in question, championship alumni were not treated with respect, Okahoma fans were ***** hillbillies, the 160-180 man squad with a lot of Nebraska walkons from little schools quickly became a short list of 105 players, Joe Dailey went flying back east, Grant Mulkey disappeared in a jiffy, and local kid Isiah Fluellin became defensive, and localkid Grixby became defensive as tons of West Copast recruits flocked to the hinterlands. Yes, I see a little bit of comparisonm between Ron Prince and Bill C. My way or the highway. Win at all costs. Must say this a slightly different approach than that of McC. Loots like the Solich boys are stuck palying defense for the Callahan offensive boy from out West. With all the sswitching, the football recognition did not come to nebraska players last year. Hats off to Adam Carriker for sticking it out.

PS - After Matt, I did not know Nebraska had a tight end.
