We're going to have to repeat that defensive effort. And shoot the 3 like that again

Tough team; great Defense and a tough match up.
The have pounded some really good teams, namely West Virginia, Louisville. They also have wins over other Dance teams: Nova, NotreDame, Miami and UNC.

we need the Kansas / Oklahoma type effort.

I apologize for making my thread (even though it was before, technically ), finding other boards and posting on CF is your thing.

Edit: It's the avatar rubbing off on me. I'm keeping it until Iowa loses (which is tomorrow).

This team is perfectly fine playing at a slow pace. Its a slow pace with defensive breakdowns and giving up offensive rebounds that kills us. I'd take our half court offense over anyone else in the country.

Virginia must be destroyed.

MBD!

I haven't seen Virginia play this year & didn't see their game today. Does anyone have any insight on them? Do they have some tough bigs? Are there any match ups that don't favor us?

Thank you in advance for your insight.

I'm personally really worried about Gill. Tough big man and a good athlete. He is the only one I'm worried about.

Brogdon's a stud on both ends of the floor, I'm thinking he'd be the guy they try to lock down on Georges. Gill's had some games where he disappears, but I agree that I think he'd be the one I'd be most concerned about for having a big game. Perantes is a really good guard with experience, does a good job controlling the pace. Both are very experienced teams. Should be a really fun matchup of contrasting styles.

Brogdon is going to give us trouble, i dont really see us having a great answer for him, his size, strength. Gill as well.

Id actually like to see alot of burton on gill, this doesnt strike me as a game mckay will thrive in. Itll be very physical. Gill is so good at drawing fouls....

I did notice butler tried to exploit their PF which is good news i think for georges, id expect him to be georges.

Virginia does disappear alot offensively, they just dont pay for it because they give up little defensively. I think our offense just has too much and should be able to exploit a few things on the interior. I actually...and i dread typing this....think nader could be huge.
