You’ve used the troll up. I guess I could say give Purdy an asterisk because eh has played awful defenses his entire career.
I mean, it's not that complicated. If a player plays against terrible competition will he:
a) rack up better stats than he would against capable competition.
b) have worse stats because... because... I can't even come up with this second scenario because it doesn't even make any ****ing sense.
I'm not afraid to admit we bit more than we could chew at that bowl game. That ND team would have wiped the floor with Iowa as well, no doubt.

Also just remembered all the chest-thumping over Iowa defenders getting a bunch of INTs. It is no secret that B1G QBs suck balls. I just looked at INTs thrown by B1G QBs and they are way more than B12 QBs, with less pass attempts and less games.

72 games, 2,373 attempts, 74 INTs (average 5.14 games played per team)
B12
84 games, 2,669 attempts, 66 INTs (average 8.4 games played per team)
If you update those INT numbers for the B1G teams to the same number of games played by the B12, you would end up with 121 INTs! Basically, if you're a defender standing anywhere on the field of a B1G game, chances are you'll get a ball thrown right into your hands.

LOL! For the B12, only 2 teams (TT and KU) allow 30pts per game or more. For the B1G, 8 teams allow 30+ points per game! That's over half the league!
