I know it's not what he was meaning, but Iowa State is bigger than Florida State by a good 3,750 students. While reading, I learned we played Wyoming recently.

So Iowa has the two best players in the state now?? Crazy.
Oh, I don’t agree that DM is the best back in college football. I just agree that it is good to have the best back in college football on your team, like when Shonn Greene won the Doak Walker back in 2008.
OK you Hawkeye fans time to tear apart Doc here for cherry picking AP votes
Again, using the AP Poll as a general indicator of success is fine. Using the AP Poll to definitively conclude Team A is better than Team B, when Team A receives a couple more votes than Team B, is not fine. If that is how you are using the AP Poll, you are a real dummy (or, in your case, a troll).
That could be the kiss of death. Last time McShay reached on a QB like that in his way too early first round projections it didn't pan out
When McShay had Leidner as a first rounder, it was in April/May, immediately after the draft, and without watching much (if any) film. None of that is the case here. McShay had several months to dissect film, and the result of that process was grading Stanley and Fant as first round talents.
You're right, I'm sure McShay has spent his summer watching the Fumbler overthrow balls to open receivers
Bump for @benjimill
I think it’s a pretty useful tool. At the end of the day, however, it is still a subjective grading system, so it’s not infallible.
So what metric should we be using to evaluate QB's? You don't seem to like any stats at that position
I haven’t come across anything that I’m in love with. I think the QB position is probably the most difficult position to develop an advanced metric for in any sport.
Every advanced stat says Kempt is the best QB in the state. No wonder you don't like it
Besides just stats even Awards Watch Lists seem to favor Kempt. I mean Davey O'Brien Award watch list is for what is considered the top Quarterbacks and Stanley is nowhere to be found, but Kempt is.Every advanced stat says Kempt is the best QB in the state. No wonder you don't like it
You’re kidding yourself if you think McShay would put someone in a mock draft in August without watching quite a bit of film. It’s ok for you to admit that Stanley is a big time pro prospect.

From the Davey O'Brien Award website: The Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award is presented annually to the nation’s best college quarterback and is the oldest and most prestigious national quarterback award.
