After being all high school matches last year, Agony in Ames has added a professional bout to the card this year. Joey Dance will take on Earl Hall at 59kg in a battle of two-time All Americans.

Dance is now with the Chicago RTC and planning to start his senior level career. A former junior world team member, his last freestyle action was at the 2015 U.S. Open.

Hall's most recent freestyle tournament was University Nationals in June, up at 65kg. At one time he was living and training full time at the Olympic Training Center and will be competing for the Cyclone RTC.

The two never met while in college, as Dance was a career 125 and Hall spent his last three years at 133. We could see this one come down to their signature moves: Hall's mixer against Dance's superduck.

Announced Matchups
106: No. 10 Cullan Schriever (IA) vs Andrew Chambal (MI)
132: Michaela Beck (NY) vs. Alex Liles (TX)
145: No. 13 Alex Facundo (MI) vs Kendall Coleman (IL)
170: No. 3 Julian Ramirez (FL) vs. No. 5 DJ Shannon (IL)

Agony in Ames? Is this something new brought to us by the coaching staff? Or is it something annual that's been happening for a bit already? The thread title made me figure it was a feature about typical Saturday in the fall here.

(Sorry, I don't pay as much attention to wrestling as I should. But I'm trying harder now-- the older brother of one of my daughter's softball teammates is a member of the ISU team.)

I feel like that explanation should be followed by "What does that make us?" "Absolutely nothing, LoneStar, which is what you are about to become!"

Started last year.
