Coming into the season I thought we'd have a season much like the last 2 - gelling at the end of the year to become a dangerous team that is significantly better than their resume. I would've predicted 19-20 regular season wins. With the grit, defense, and Kane's penetration abilities we've displayed the last two games, however, I'm convinced we could put together a great season from start to finish. I still think we'll probably drop one non-conference game, and we should be able to put together a 12-6 conference record, resulting in a 23-7 regular season record and a 5 seed in the NCAA tourney. I think we could do even better if we develop solid 3-point threats to the point where we always have 2 consistent perimeter shooters on the floor (probably among Long, Thomas, and.... Morris?) to counter the post offense from Niang, Ejim, and Hogue and Kane's penetration offense. On the other hand, we need to avoid foul trouble, and we really need to develop Long, Thomas, and Morris into more consistent contributors to survive the grind of the conference season, or we could come up a few wins short. As long as we avoid crazy injuries or unforeseen discipline problems, it's hard for me to see this team getting any less than 21 regular season wins.

What do you think?

Staying at 20.....I think we'll still finish 4th in the conference. We are good but the Big 12 isn't as down as some would profess it to be.

We have 26 games left on the schedule. By my best guess, we should be favored in ~21 of them (all but KU, @KU, @OSU, @Baylor & OSU) @KSU and @OU being on the fence.

so i'm adjusting to 25 wins assuming we get as many upsets as we get upset.

BTW, I think the BigXII is really bad this year, outside of the top 4.

Well we've played 4 games and won 4 games. Using simple math we can extrapolate that over the whole season so I say we go undefeated.

Completely agree with this. Actually I will say top 5. OU and Baylor I think are decent but not great. Texas, K-State, TCU, Tech, and West Virginia are all really bad.

Agreed. I see Kansas, Okie State, Baylor, and us being tournament teams with Oklahoma on the bubble.

What crack are you smokin boss.

(not in a specific order) KU, OSU, Baylor, OU, Texas and ISU will all be good. The Big 12 will a serious dog fight between those 6 teams, it's always a brawl come conference season.

I'm not saying I want to finish 4th, just where I think we'll end up. I see a year similar to last year, we'll pull off a few conf upsets but lose a head scratcher or two. I don't see us winning at KU, OU, OSU and Baylor. Best case we get two road victories out of that. I would love for one to be OSU.

Yeah, I got em at a 6th place finish in conf. I don't see TTech, WVU, TCU or KSU getting over them. (maybe KSU)

They haven't played anybody yet, but there are 4-0. Will they be dancing? No.

Based on what? Honest question. Are they the worst team in Big 12? Who do you have finishing above them.

I never said they'd dance or even NIT but I could see them in that 6th - 8th place finish.

Based on the fact they have no returning starters from a team that was bad last year.
