I dunno....he made Vikes fans pretty happy in 2009 (even though he threw the pick that cost us the superbowl!)

It's time to honor Favre for his accomplishments in Green Bay AND for helping to drive the Vikings into the ground on his way out of Minnesota.

I agree. To this day I do not blame Favre for that. Just the fact that he was even still in the game after jacking up his ankle, is amazing. 99% of QB's would have been out. He had a heck of a game despite massive abuse, which everyone that was watching the game knew they were trying to knock him out and injure him....We all know how that ended for Nawlins.

Love Minnesota fans trying to claim him. Just like when they signed him they all said some variation of "Well, I always really liked him and loved the way he played"

Favre hate amuses me. Few rag on AP for costing the Vikes that playoff game - but most (especially Packer fans) blame Favre.

Vikes are not even anywhere close to .500 that season without him.

I'm not a packers fan, and I have no problem with people pinning that loss on Farve. AP (don't like him) hurt their chances but it was a skill based can't be helped type of thing. What farve did was mind numbingly stupid and was characteristically like every other year he ever played. Ego bigger than brain. He had 3 good years when Holmgren kept him on a heavy dose of the stupid vaccine. But other than that he cost teams more super Bowls than he got them to by playing when he shouldn't have.

Yes he was a great talent, but he was blindingly stupid too often. I honestly belive that if it wasn't for the madden machine love and him playing for himself and the record, when he was actually a detriment to the team, he'd barely be hof worthy.
