Will there be a 3rd section of support on the west side, or do they stop at 2?

I'm just trying to get a real feel for just how big this thing really is. It looks to be amazing.

I thinking there should be at least 3, one more section based on what the renderings show. The 3rd, last section would be the one that is the width of the screen. I don't think we'll really appreciate the size of this thing until it is fully erected. It is going to be a monstrosity.

If there is a 3rd section they must not have it ready. The crane is just getting ready to move.

I am wondering if the 3rd section, on each side, will be mounted to the scoreboard before being lifted into place, might make the process easier. Maybe use 2 cranes for this. Very uneducated guess though.

That's what I'm wondering. Two cranes working together to put the board in place or one BAC (bigass crane)?

They just posted a pic on the Iowa State Athletics Facebook page - holy crap - the crossbar of the support structure itself is almost as tall as the Jacobsen Bldg...

  • Iowa State Athletics Video Board Update: There is something in the north endzone at Jack Trice Stadium and it's not the Cyclone Marching Band!
