Well Cyclone 1985, I suspect that we will "learn" when 1) you become head coach and apply your brilliance against the likes of Shaka Smart or Bill Self, or 2) you enroll in community college, get your grades up so you are academically eligible and you take over the PG position. But I'm not holding my breath.....:SLEEP:In order to show how much better, more skilled and smarter you are than Monte, you will have to average more than 15 points, shoot over 51%, have an assist:turnover ratio of 5.0 and get 2 steals or better. You up for that? Talk's cheap, ain't it.
and we walk the ball up the court and settle for ANOTHER 3 pt airball.
Oh, we had a timeout to use as well. When will we learn?!
We need better coaching. We have the most talented starting 5 in college basketball.

Burn!
What is a higher percentage shot for Monte, contested 3 or a 2? Right, a 2. By driving to the lane (which is Monte's game) you put pressure on the D and the refs -- you have a better chance at a lay-up, better chance at a floater, better chance that someone comes to help and you can dump off for an easier shot, better chance at getting a foul and a better chance at a soft rebound and tip-in.
So by shooting a 3 the only way you win, is making a difficult shot. By penetrating, there are 4, 5, 6 easier ways to get points -- all of them better than a contested 3.
Players must call the timeout?Should have called a timeout. Shocking one wasn't called
he needed the 3 to cover the spread
For this team, eight losses is just too many losses. We are almost done with the season and we still have not figured out how to play our best ball for a game. We had three major runs against us last night. Being sixth in conference, we probably have to beat OU in first game of the tourney. If we could just do whatever we wanted all of the time we'd win every game 200-0. It's always amazing to me that people fully expect us to do everything right, win every game. It's pompous and as I've said before ISU b-ball fan is becoming Iowa football fan after losses and it's sad to see. There's an entire team of guys trying their hardest to stop us and beat us, can't we just lose a good basketball game to a good team that is a bad match up for us and not have a crisis?

Don't know if Georges will be the go to guy with the game on the line as CSP has said more than once that he wants the point guard 'to make a play'. Monte obviously thinks that this means he takes the shot.
I feel as if Monte thinks he can recreate the game winner from Texas last year. Although awesome at the time, the fade away jumper he made with a hand in his face is a really tough, low percentage shot. He's like 0-3 this year on potential game winners, all contested jump shots...it ain't working! Either attack the basket or give it to Georges and let him make a play!

Iowa game he hit the game winner and Oklahoma he pretty much did
