Crush, Gina Carano

Don't let the winsome smile fool you... Crush earned her well-deserved moniker by smashing opponents into submission. Despite her girl-next-door looks, she's a powerful, fierce opponent who has no problem handling the women competitors, and then going back to breaking men's hearts.

Read somewhere she is an MMA fighter too, nice...

For all the "Crush" lovers out there, she's the top rated female MMA fighter in the world. So she could also whip your butt.

Crush is by far the best one and I'd gladly let her toss my butt down the pyramid any day of the week.

Or better yet, wrestle her on the earthquake platform...

When I was watching the show live I thought that Venom looked really hot too but now that I look at her picture online it's not that great.

Yeah, I think Venom's 'investment' is her best asset... I was a big fan of Siren too though.

At first I thought Siren was the hotest but after awhile and now seeing the pictures Crush is by far the best looking. Helga is a waste, she's big but slow and Gladiators you need some quickness to be effective.

I thought some of the new games as well as the improvements to the old ones were great but I still kind of miss some of the "old school" feel of the original show. Mayhem was a joke on the joust, disqualified twice for stepping off his playform. As big as that dude is he shouldn't need an extra step to get an advantage.

And the best part of the night was when the guy jumped the whistle and the ref came down and told him he was "giving him the business."

Maybe since it was the first show in awhile, yet I think this renditioin is better than the old ones. That said, the gal dominators or gladiators do not appear to be as good athletically as the old ones. Those two young challengers weighed 138-148 and put more pound per pound effort into the show than the gal glaadiators. The men - how in the world is a 160 pound spider monkey ever going to look awesome against 250-270 pound men gladiators. If this was football, the little team would be blown out.

This is another chance for the Hulkster to maintain his macho image. He is bald on top and he will not remove his bandana. He will change his hairstyle for his honey.

Not to switch the subject or anything, but how do you feel about smaller, quicker people being able to do well in the events? Do you think it's cool that they stand a chance to win? Or do you think it's lame and it should be geared toward stronger people?

I think the more the Gladiators do the events, the better they will get at them. Some of them did some really dumb things (like Mayhem in the joust and Wolf diving at the dude in the Pyramid). I think the huge advantage speed gives you now will be somewhat negated in everything but the eliminator. Honestly that Moli dude will be tough to beat in the eliminator.

Yeah, they all screwed up a lot, but you have to admit when red guy went and grabbed Wolf's legs, him doing that sunset flip to bring red guy all the way back to the bottom of the pyramid was pretty sweet...

I can't believe how exhausting the eliminator is now. Putting that treadmill at the end just killed everyone!

In the old version didn't they each have two paths to chose from at the end? One had a Gladiator and the other didn't. They would be behind the paper wating to knock them on their can. Can you imagine having to go up against one of those guys after you just got off the treadmill?

They did have the gladiators involved in the eliminator. I don't remember about having to get through one at the end, but I remember them controlling pads that swung back and forth.
This one is all about conditioning.

They had several different versions of the Eliminator - that was the one when they first got the Adidas sponsorship (instead of the contestants wearing their "brought from home scrubbies" on the show) and the show began resembling more of the futuristic look instead of that "homemade backyard obstacle course" look (and ironically I think the treadmill was the last part of the Eliminator back then). Later seasons they threw medicine balls at the contestants, after that they had two Gladiators operating a mechanical gauntlet of pads that the contestants had to run through.

I actually remember what he's talking about - the contestant had to choose from four paper-covered openings, and three of those openings had a Gladiator waiting for them that they had to physically get through.
