Maybe they were wealthy and only used it as a vacation home. Or maybe they got tired of living in the middle of nowhere. That place isn't close to anything. That doesn't work for everyone.
That could be. I just remember it being a family from Missouri that bought it. There is no way I'd live there and I don't even believe in supernatural stuff. Spooky place.

Yeah, I think even if it didn't have the murder history just the sheer isolation would bother me. Like it would be cool for a little while and then it would start to get to me.

I like the inside pics, the basement with barnwood walls

Actually looks like a nice place but half a million dollars for a place that had four murders in it?

Seems kind of high to me....

Maybe it was the fabulous Southern Iowa weather that drew them thar.

Honestly, if it weren't in bfe. I like the inside pics, the basement with barnwood walls, 33 acres on a river. Not concerned about the murder stuff. But it's in bfe.

Sure, the house and property are nice. The pool is fine other than the fact that the weather is warm enough to use it maybe 3-4 months out of the year.

But the location is no good unless you're way into privacy and spending a lot of time alone. And if you're way into those things then why would you want a seven bedroom house?

I dunno. To me the property only works as a summer vacation house or rental property.

Hence why my negative was that it's in bfe. I'd be fine with that type of property if it was closer to Des Moines.

perfect place to put a haunted barn, maze, etc...

I think there is an appropriate interval of time that should pass before using that as some sort of attraction. Not sure what that is, but it seems to me that it would be in poor taste if it was recent enough for there to be a lot of living people who were directly affected by the tragic events. So maybe 40-50 years?

So what if you murder all the people that were directly affected by the first murders?
