Yeah but only Lazard was a 4 star football player. Conditt said himself he stopped playing football a couple years ago.

He was 6' 7" and didn't even get to play so he transferred to a off the beaten path school and grew to 6' 10' or 6' 11" (depending on source) and people are all over him now.

Yeah, and we will have 4 or more open scholarships, and are likely going to be returning a lot of frontcourt experience in Young, Lard, and Jacobsen, so taking a projectable guy that may not contribute immediately is a good use of a scholarship IMO.

I feel like every player being recruited should get this treatment when he is on campus. If he is truly a priority within your program, every person should know who he is, and when he will be on campus. But I don't think that is a problem in Ames.

Naturally, I could be wrong (it happened once in 1947 before I was born) but I believe his father played football at Iowa, not Iowa State, which would explain why he almost cried.
