I really hope they land this kid. Think he has a higher ceiling than Race Thompson.

I like that his father almost cried.
You might be right. Some sources list him as 6-11.Not 6'-10", don't want. Oh wait, carry on.

Dad played FB at ISU so hopefully that weighs in his decision.

I feel like every player being recruited should get this treatment when he is on campus. If he is truly a priority within your program, every person should know who he is, and when he will be on campus. But I don't think that is a problem in Ames.“I’m trying to get to a couple places [this summer], but I’m not making my decision until I take all five [official] visits,” Conditt said. “I’m trying to get up to schools multiple times. I really just want to know how everything is, if what they sold me on the first time, if it’s really true. When I went to Iowa State everybody was, ‘Hey,’ shaking my hand as soon as I stepped in the door. I wonder if I come back that’s what they’re going to do.”
Oh- it's on now...
Naturally, I could be wrong (it happened once in 1947 before I was born) but I believe his father played football at Iowa, not Iowa State, which would explain why he almost cried.
