Our best bet for a TE is Premer. Gotta hammer it out of the park this weekend

I'd bet on Premer going to Notre Dame, but damn would it be awesome to get him. Would be the highest rated commit in school history. I know he has a good relationship with the coaches and with Brahmer, so we do have a shot.

OT Owen Winder commits. P4 offers from Duke, Kentucky, WVU. Was scheduled to visit BYU.

Interesting that there is only one in-state commitment for this class so far.
Well, it’s a thin year. Of the other eight, three are in Hawk territory, one doesn’t want to wait his turn in a crowded safety room, one we aren’t interested in, and one is gong to wrestle.

The other two are visiting.

Sometimes the chips just fall that way.

Got a new OT visiting this weekend. No offer yet.

Trieu is calling him a DL.

And at a brief look at his hudl, he looks it. With the chaos DL recruiting has been, that would make perfect sense.

Edit: After watching all of his junior Hudl, I’d guess it depends on how much weight he puts on. Currently lists himself at 6’7” 235.

He looks like he has potential at both OT and DE, but like you said, he will need to add weight and develop. Would take a few years before he contributed. It would be nice if he ended up being a David Irving type player.

I was thinking about Irving as well, though not as athletic. Currently wondering if he got the invite at yesterday’s OL camp.

It appears that Minnesota ATH/LB Pierce Petersohn is no longer visiting.

That puts the known OV’s this weekend down to four, with Evan Jacobson on the 17th.

DE Ajibola Afuye, S Bryson Williams, Sioux City LB Kasen Thomas, and TE Ian Premer.

We’ll see if that changes as they arrive. OTOH, that gives ISU a goodly number of OV’s remaining to use this Fall, if they want.

No, I don’t recall for sure the current total schools are allowed to offer.

Young Mr Jacobson is now warm to ISU. Did he come home from ND still looking for a place to play? We still got a chance.
? He’s listed as warm with all the schools he’s visiting, and his OV to Notre Dame hasn’t happened yet. Nothing has changed.
