Sadly, it appears that the marvelous @NATEizKING did was not so prescient as to map out a 2026 version of the long running series. Alas!

It won’t be done properly, I suppose, but here we are. Could I get a pin please, @Connor_Ferguson?

And to start out with, looks like former Cyclone QB (and current Colorado State Professor) Todd Bandhauer has a son. A very large son. Recently offered.

I always liked watching Todd play. After having running QBs, it was nice to have a pure passer.

For those of you who liike good instate recruits (and don’t we all?) this weekend’s junior Day visitors include Valley’s Jayden McGregory, Waterloo West’s Carson Nielsen and Waukee’s Evan Jacobsen.

I know full well we have connections to both McGregory and Jacobsen. I’m hoping Coach Clanton has as good a relationship with Nielsen as he clearly does Tompkins.

He was in Ames today for the Big Man Camp

Most likely gonna end up at Nebraska it appears. Not sure why you would pick that train wreck of a program over your father's school.
That CB is from a Nebraska guy. I read the article. Nothing in that article even mentioned his dad played at Iowa State. My guess is that’s arrogance that no way are they going to lose a recruit to Iowa State. Take those 247 crystal balls this far out as arrogant behavior more than reality. Iowa 247 guys do the same crap

Ah, ok. I hope we end up getting him. We missed on Curvey's kid and I think we stopped pursuing Hayward's kid.

McGregory is at the top of my wish list for the 2026 class. We have also offered Michael Jacobson's younger brother, Evan:

We didn’t *miss* on Curvey’s kid, the coaches thought he was a shoe-in and didn’t recruit him like they truly wanted him
I'm not sure this is 100% true. I think there was also some positional/scheme questions that made us perhaps not his best fit. Small to be an end in our system (he's not Will McDonald level freak) and maybe didn't want to play linebacker for us? Likely fits better as a true DE/Edge rusher in another system

We got the guys we wanted. Thats all that needs to be said.
