At 36-14 I said they would get the 3 touchdowns and miss the 2 point conversion. This isn't a traditional Vikings team. This isn't a traditional anything team.
Agreed. This team could lose the last 3 games and make a 1st round playoff exit, and it would not shock me. Or I could see them winning out and, making the NFC championship game.
They're not a Super bowl team. Either the Eagles or Cowboys would beat them handily. Beyond that, I have no clue. It's been a good ride, though. Much better on this side of lady luck than the other.

Entertaining game..

I'll be surprised if MN doesn't get bounced early.

Jefferson is something else though.
I won't be surprised if the Vikes get bounced early. I won't be surprised they actually win the SB (well, sort of not surprised). I literally don't know. They've completely taken NFL football logic and flipped it on its head.

I'm not even sure if it's lady luck. The only truly spectacular play in the comeback was Cook's catch and run TD (JJ spinning Gilmore around was pretty spectacular but he made that look too easy). It was mostly just sort of business-like. I think they are exploiting some break in the space-time continuum. Maybe KOC found a wormhole. You know what, JJ might actually be a wormhole. That doesn't sound very nice, does it?

I've said this all year, at some point pure luck turns into a trend. I can't explain it, but for the time being, this team has it and wins games. A team might string 4 or 5 wins together our of nowhere on some lucky plays. Teams don't go 11-3 by luck alone, there's skill and execution involve to win that consistently.

They especially don't score 39 points in a half by accident or luck. That's practically 6 straight, highly effective scoring drives in that amount of time. It wasn't just 6 big plays to score, it was long and methodical drives to score (well...except for Dalvin's 60 yarder).

That was the most surprising part for me about the comeback Saturday. How they came back. Usually for a big come back like that, you have fluky big plays (blocked kick TD, Pick 6, Fumble return, Punt return, etc). That didn't happen here. In fact, the big fluky TD that they actually did get was taken off the board on one of the worst blown whistle calls I've ever seen. Dalvin did have the 64 yarder, but that was a well executed play. The rest of the scores were multi-play drives that took time/yardage. Considering they scored 36 points in a quarter and a half to tie it, that's pretty impressive.

Dude, JJ runs the prettiest routes in football.

And he can usually get separation without the outrageous shoves that his contemporary Chase has to do in Cincy.

On a related note, the amount of cheap shots JJ takes is ridiculous. Happy Coach is addressing it:
