Sucks when you move to Stillwater for your son’s wrestling career. It would be a little dirty to pay Ryder big money to come there after DT took Thompson to worlds with him last year for that experience.
So they could cut a kid the day before roster finalization and he's s.o.l. for that season?

I don’t get that stuff anyways, we saw guys transferring during the season and immediately eligible this year. Seemed like guys were coming and going as first semester started as well. This was outside the transfer portal window.
A lot of those Iowa defections happened really late last year, and I don't think they ever technically entered the portal.
Those ones specifically were in mind. As well as the heavyweight from NC state to Lehigh at semester
There are ways around it. Teemer and Parco showed up to Iowa when the portal wasn't open (and Riggins in Ames). Also, Trephan transferred from NC State to Lehigh at semester last year and was able to wrestle 2nd semester
Drake Ayala mentioned this morning that he basically recruited Nasir Bailey himself. Asked him to come to Iowa city, showed up the next day and committed.

On this note, I know the weight loses that one Penn state kid and Parker, but man 184 is absolutely loaded next couple years. This weight is going to be a blast to watch.
