They are also tight with other big donors. A lot of fans are ready to move on, but they aren’t really going anywhere.
That's fair. I just know a lot of Iowa fans that have angst with how the team has been performing recently, and I can only imagine the pressure ramping up if they start to get passed by Oklahoma State as a program. But, having close ties with the big donors will keep their seats cool for a while

With Dean 184 and Elam 197 and Fishback having already used his RS I don't see that happening
Yes hopefully they hold up, our 184 transfers haven't held up all season and gained us anything at Nationals unfortunately. Elam is going to be on a pitch count and will pick and choose when to wrestle. Dean got teched by shumate of Ohio state at CKLV and lost to fettig a backup for SDSU in a dual. He also lost in a dual to a kid from George mason. I wouldn't think he got a great NIL deal and we are pinning our hopes on him. Truth is, if you can get Fishback you take him, in my opinion.

This is my exact thought. He’d be a great addition to the room if they could somehow swing it. I bet he goes to a BIG school tho.

Yeah they do and it’s either they start ludington as a true fresh or someone else in portal. He’d be a good side to have in the lineup for them.

So when Arnold said he would be a 2026 national champion.. that was a guarantee that he beats PK and not that he's a 197 champ ? lol

He also beat Bennett Berge and Jaxon Smith within two weeks of that.

I think he’s comparable to Fishback so I don’t know why you’d want both.

No he beat berge on the front side of CKLV. On the backside consi semis he got teched by Shumate and won by MFF over bockman for 5th. Berge came back and got 3rd. He did beat Smith in a dual though you are right 2 weeks later. Then lost to Bockman a couple weeks later. Again I wouldn't think this kid got a big NIL deal so if Fishback entertained coming here, then you take him. He's a 2x R12 kid with 2 years remaining
