Wasn’t that the play where the issue was that the officials blew the play dead before the fumble? The ball was clearly out before his knee hit the ground but the ruling was that the whistles blew the play dead early and before the fumble? It was frustrating but made more sense than the knee was down before the fumble. The refs didn’t need to blow the play dead as quickly as they did either.

I could be wrong but I thought the whistle only kept George from getting 6, not that they blew the whistle before runner was down. I remember it was more that you can never see the ball come out, but you don’t need to if George has ball and runner still not down. Again I could be wrong, most memories are.

We are literally watching the end of Dave Aranda at Baylor. This could not be worse for ISU for next weeks game imo

Why do we always have to play interim coaches in their first game

This must be the joy that iowa fans have felt for years, watching every opponent on your upcoming schedule go out and prove that they are just an awful football team and knowing that if you are just above average you will win 9 or 10 games. I could get used to it.

We'll end up playing an interim coach and the juice that goes with it to get their players amped up.

I know our interim curse, but Baylor looks genuinely really bad. I think BYU is probably better than everyone thought at the beginning of the year, but this could be ugly before long.
